In the Midst of a Global Pandemic (2020)

This piece features the voices of friends and family, describing their experiences during the isolating lockdowns of 2020.

At the time of composition, I found this piece difficult to listen to. It was hard to hear so many of my nearest and dearest going through such a difficult and collectively lonely time. It is a particularly interesting listen, almost three years on, because of how detached i’ve become from those feelings and experiences. I often find myself romanticising the period, as a time of freedom rather than a time of fear and loneliness. It’s good to have a reminder of how difficult it really was.
