Baba Yaga is Looking (2022)
This is a game piece for three or more players. It is based on the childhood game Statues or as many may now know it as Red Light, Green Light (as popularised by Netflix’s Squid Game). The focus of this piece is on player interaction, encouraging communication between the members of an ensemble, and their conductor.
Video Conductor
For smaller ensembles, or those wishing to have every member performed I have created a video to act as the conductor, Baba Yaga. The limitations of this video, are that similar sounding pieces may be produced as the pauses can not be spontaneous. However for a singular playing it works well.
This performance is a trio of percussion, viola and trumpet.
